CURVY GIRLS‘ ROSIE MERCADO GETS SPORTY FOR CULT OF CALIFORNIA & OTHER TOP PLUS BRANDS AT L.A.’S POSH FASHION SHOWCASE

While taping the hotly anticipated new season of NUVOtv’s plus-size hit Curvy Girls, which returns with all-new episodes on June 11, Rosie Mercado took some time out to wow the runway at Los Angeles’ POSH, which she tells NUVOtv was an “amazing event!”

The full-figured fashion showcase at L.A.’s Embassy Suites on March 17 featured top plus models walking for trend-setting brands like Los Angeles-based Cult of California, Sorella Swim and Shanda Style, plus pop-up shops, a beauty bar and panel discussions.

‘It’s a moment of celebration in my life when I get to experience the rewards of all the hard work that I have done to not only lose weight but also live my dream of
modeling and walking the runway — yes, at a size 22, baby!’

“It was a fantastic feeling to walk for Jen Wilder for Cult of California and for Ashley Stewart,” says Rosie. “I think it’s a moment of celebration in my life when I get to experience the rewards of all the hard work that I have done to not only lose weight but also live my dream of modeling and walking the runway — yes, at a size 22, baby! This goes to show that regardless of naysayers, if you are driven and can dream it then you can achieve it! This is the start to a new adventure. There’s definitely more to come — I’m not stopping here!”

After strutting the catwalk in smart styles by Ashley Stewart, Rosie stole the spotlight in sporty athletic wear by Cult of California, which Zaftig Times fashion blogger Michelle Guerrero Denison calls “chic, fun and youthful.”
